Count Accuracy
Weight-based counting becomes less reliable when individual pieces vary in weight. Smart Weigh tests the actual parts and calibrates the counting program, while high-variation applications may require a dedicated counting method.
Product Impact
Heavy hardware can damage hoppers or puncture packaging film, while detergent pods can rupture during hard drops. Reinforced contact areas or low-impact discharge paths are selected around the product.
Unstable Feeding
Long fasteners may bridge, while lightweight plastic or rubber parts can overlap or cling together. Product-matched feeders, gate openings and vibration settings maintain a more consistent supply.
SKU Changeovers
Parts left inside feeders or chutes can become mixed with the next production run. Accessible contact components, complete product cleanout and stored recipes simplify changeovers and reduce SKU errors.
