Coffee and Tea Packing Machines
Coffee beans, coffee powder and loose-leaf tea require different dosing methods. Beans are relatively free-flowing, fine powder can create dust, and tea leaves are lightweight and easily damaged. Smart Weigh combines product-matched weighing or auger filling equipment with VFFS and premade pouch packing machines. The system can be configured for pillow bags, gusset bags and retail pouches, with optional nitrogen flushing, coding and finished-pack inspection.

Accurate filling is only one part of the process. The equipment must also control powder, protect fragile leaves and limit product exposure before the package is sealed.
Different Dosing Methods
Beans, powder and tea leaves do not feed at the same rate. Smart Weigh uses a suitable weighing system for beans or leaves and an auger filler for fine coffee powder.
Powder Dust
Fine coffee powder can become airborne or continue falling after dosing. A matched auger, filling nozzle and cutoff timing reduce dust and seal contamination.
Tea Leaf Damage
Aggressive vibration and long drops can crush loose-leaf tea and create fines. Gentle feeding and a shorter discharge path help preserve leaf appearance.
Aroma and Seal Control
Air left inside the package can accelerate aroma loss after packing. Optional nitrogen flushing and synchronized heat sealing reduce product exposure before the bag is closed.
